BMT’s Defence Recognised Supplier status - 4th September 2013

In 2007 Ballistic & Mechanical Testing Pty Ltd (BMT) was awarded a 3 year contract to perform independent batch and compliance testing for the Australian Defence Force, Defence Materiel Organisation in relation to soldier combat armour deployed for use by the Australian Defence Force personnel.

From 2010 through to 2012 BMT continued to undertake sole source batch and compliance testing and then in 2012 our services were further recognised when we were once again officially recognised as the Australian Defence Force, Defence Materiel Organisation sole source supplier of independent ballistic testing for soldier combat armour.

The Australian Defence Organisation, Letter of  Recognised Supply  (LoRS) scheme is designed to help sustain Australian Defence industry capability and recognises the continued and sustained successful supply by an Australian company to Defence. It is evidence that BMT have supplied its services on time, on budget and to specification to the Australian Defence Organisation time and time again.

At BMT, we are very proud to be recognised as the sole source supplier of independent ballistic testing to the Australian Defence Force, Defence Materiel Organisation since 2007.
